Forths have relationships with many of the large Insurance Companies and large Defendant solicitor practices across the length and breadth of the UK and deal with a considerable number of Defendant cases on an annual basis.
Because of our considerable experience in both the Claimant and Defendant Personal Injury sector we consider that we are well placed to understand the ways in which claims presented by Claimant Personal Injury practitioners can be overstated.
We are able to undertake quick reviews of cases, on the basis of initial papers provided, in order to assess whether any of the ways in which Claimant solicitors can overstate claims are relevant in a particular case.
Likewise we can undertake full and substantial reviews of businesses’ accounting records to assess trends, changing cost structures, etc which would have an impact on any claim presented.
It is the case that many of the instructions that we receive on Defendant cases are larger cases involving self employed individuals. Given our Experts’ relative backgrounds, at Forths, we are well versed in many different accounting systems for a whole range of size of business and, therefore, are well placed to analyse the results of a business in a coherent, objective and thorough manner.
We have had a large number of cases where we have appropriately reduced the claims as presented and presented to the Court a “true” level of loss in such claims.
Given our particular specialities in Claimant work, in respect of pension losses, military personnel and fatal accident claims, we are well placed to defend such claims also.
