At Forths, we have a number of contracts with Insurance Companies to undertake technical claims consultancy work, on a volume basis, on their Personal Injury files.

Whilst we also undertake Expert Witness work for them on their larger catastrophic cases, the main thrust of our involvement, on a volume basis, is on their much smaller cases which are outsourced to ourselves (often under a Delegated Authority scheme) for us to investigate / negotiate settlement on the loss of earnings / loss of profits aspects of files presented by Claimant solicitors.

This is a service very different to our normal Forensic Accountancy work, in that the ultimate aim is to settle cases at a fair level for all concerned without the requirement to prepare large CPR compliant documents for the Courts and indeed, we only report back to our Insurance clients in the event that we are unable to obtain a satisfactory settlement based on the documentary evidence presented supporting a particular claim.

By utilising our service in this regard, our Insurance clients have been able to make substantial savings in excess of what their own file handlers would have managed on such cases, which has led to significant and ongoing substantial reductions in claim costs across their operations.

Our bespoke case management system, and specifically tailored staffing structure (within our technical claims consultancy subdivision) allow us to handle a considerable number of outsourced cases on an annual basis.

The regular Management Information (MI) that we are able to provide our suppliers of work enables them to use the work that we undertake for them not only in reducing costs directly but also in educating their own file handlers and targeting fraud.

In the event that you are interested in this service then we can, of course, provide anonomised data showing the levels of savings that we have made over the years and can discuss with you in detail how the scheme can be introduced.
